Local musicians, painters and even tattoo artists are planning a night of live creation. LAG’s burgeoning rock guitarist Wicho (see Revue’s article Rising Rock Star) just let me in on his plans to organize his second “Noche de Musica y Pintura En Vivo.” But, this time, tattoo Mike is rumored to participate as well, ready to ink the inspired.

While Wicho – aka Luis de la Rosa – confirmed the event will take place in October, there is no set date as of yet. And, while the first “live art experiment” took place in Rainbow Cafe, the rumor is La Esquina will be the hosting venue.

I’ll openly admit, I’m really excited about this event. There is something magical about witnessing artists live in action. The craze for live music is an obvious example. Living with two painters, I can affirm first-hand that watching a painting come to life before your eyes is just as emotionally stirring. And, most usually get inked behind closed doors. It will be interesting to see who’s brave enough to get a tattoo in an open, public setting. Before you know it, LAG will have it’s own show: La Antigua Ink.

I’ll definitely be following up on this event here at ArteAntigua.com so be sure to check back soon to find out more!
