Preserving a Diminishing Traditional Art
Rainbow Café is hosting a presentation from Nuevo Amenecer or New Dawn on Tuesday, October 27th at 5:30pm:
K’a k’a’ Saqarik – Nuevo Amenecer or New Dawn is a locally set-up charity dedicated to helping more than 100 indigenous children in San Andres Itzapa. They are working hard to keep thse children in good health, to educate them and to preserve the local Mayan traditions such as the language and dance which are currently being lost at an alarming rate.
