Urbano Animal Exhibit Featured at El Sitío
While most think of organized humanity as civilized, a group of young artists use their work to confront the savage-side of what humanity calls civilization. The Urbano Animal exhibition is currently being displayed at El Sitío Proyecto Cultural:
For many, the city is one of the heights of civilization. Political centers, religious centers, economic centers and social centers where the most representative of each culture is guarded for admiration, adoration and domination in these areas of high density population. In the city, man and nature are separated by the skyscrapers and the roads, the fireflies migrate to the closest forests while the wolves become domesticated dogs.
Urbano Animal is an exhibition where the paintings, photography and graffiti are only some of the techniques that speak to us about the relationship cit-man-animal: because in the city all, including animals, maintain a primitive, wild instinct of which the roads nor the skyscrapers can uproot.
