Parade in La Antigua
The Christmas Spirit is spreading throughout La Antigua Guatemala.
White lights adorn Parque Central, reminding residents and visitors alike that ’tis the season to be merry.’
December is full of festivities and celebrations of the special season have already begun.
Whimsical figures and floats will be marching through Sacatépequez Monday.
La Antigua Guatemala and Cuidad Vieja are celebrating in honor of the Virgen de Concepción.
A convite, or parade, will gather at the cathedral before weaving its way through Ciudad Vieja, which lies 5 km south of La Antigua.
The parade begins at 2pm, Monday, December 7th.
